Paving the Way for Daniels Prophecy?

In light of recent events, one must ask yourself if we are heading into the fullfilment of Daniels prophecies?

In an Israel Today article, titled :Kerry’s Peace Plan: Divide Jerusalem, Recognize Jewish State,  a New York Times columnist, named Thomas Friedman, who has close ties to the Obama Administration, said that the American Secretary of State John Kerry is about to present a firm (forceful?) American proposal for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

The Obama plan sees Israel withdrawing from Judea and Samaria in stages. Large Jewish settlements would be left intact and under Israeli sovereignty, and Israel would compensate by surrendering some of its territory to the Palestinian Authority. Jerusalem would be divided, and the eastern half recognized as the capital of “Palestine.” Speaking of recognition, Israel would be explicitly acknowledged as the nation state of the Jewish people. There would be no mass return of Palestinian refugees into Israel.

Israel in Prophecy has not been silent regarding the possible identity of Obama as the End of Days Tyrant whom the Jews call Armilus and the Christians call Antichrist, the Man of Sin. We have dedicated various articles to this topic and remain convinced that he is the end of days despot foretold in Daniel. This monster is destined to make a peace treaty with Israel which will catapult us into a world of calamity and despair. This  treaty according to a careful reading of Daniel suggests that the so called Peace Treaty is actually forced upon Israel, which is exactly what is occurring now.

With recent saber rattling by Russia and the back-stabbing deal the US made with Iran, some believe that this could lead to the Biblical prophecy of Gog U Magog of Ezekiel.

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog [the Russian Federation]…and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will…bring thee forth, and all thine army…. Persia [ancient kingdom of Iran], Ethiopia, and Libya with them.” (Ezekiel 38:1–5)

Although Gog  invasion  goes wrong for Iran, Russia, and their confederates (see Ezekiel 38:21), one cannot read this prophecy  and fail to reflect upon the events of recent days involving Iran and its leaders, Russia and its leaders, and the current push by the president of the United States to force Israel into a false peace with the Palestinians, all the while while secretly negotiating a nuclear agreement with Iran (made public in late 2013).

The Obama regime, with Secretary of State John Kerry in the lead, joined with the international community in making an agreement with the Iranian regime that many view as a betrayal of Israel.

Israeli PM  Netanyahu saw through these Machiavellian machinations, and harshly condemned the nuclear deal with Iran as a massive failure of [United States] foreign policy. “What was reached last night in Geneva is not a historic agreement, it is a historic mistake,” he said, before including: “Today the world became a much more dangerous place because the most dangerous regime in the world made a significant step in obtaining the most dangerous weapons in the world.”

We should not fail to take into account HaShem’s promise of safety for the Jewish nation mentioned in various places in the Tanakh. We should also know that while the Obama regime is trying to force this treaty on Israel, the Jewish people have powerful memories of those who have promised to exterminate them – Haman in the Book of Hadassah (Ester) the arch villian in ancient Persia, Nazi Germany in the past and  Iran (Persia) today. Survival by any means necessary pervades their hearts at this stage in history.

Because of this resolve, some believe, just as in the days of Haman, Obama’s fait accompli (something that has happened and cannot be undone – just like the Persian law which condemned the Jewish captives) regarding  conspiratorial deals with Israel’s enemies could result literally  overnight in the war  in Ezekiel.

In a speech before  the  68th Session of the United Nations (2013), Prime Minister Netanyahu himself affirmed:

In our time the Biblical prophecies are being realized. As the prophet Amos said, they shall rebuild ruined cities and inhabit them. They shall plant vineyards and drink their wine. They shall till gardens and eat their fruit. And I will plant them upon their soil never to be uprooted again.

The stage is being set, the players are taking there positions. Will the Gog U Magog war ignite in our days? Only Hashem is in control of all the game pieces. Only He knows the outcome of these events.

The Visions of Daniel

There is no mystery more shrouded than the time of the קֵץ, or End – referring to the End of Days.  This special time is marked by the arrival of a wicked ruler which is followed by the arrival of the King Messiah, a messianic Israeli leader who will help usher in an era of peace and justice.

A passage from Megillah 3a tells us that within the Ketuvim (writings) the Kietz or End is contained, meaning the time when the Messiah was to come who would lead Israel to it’s final redemtion. The Book of Daniel is part of that biblical collection. The closing chapters of Daniel contain the visions of the ‘Kietz’, but Daniel was instructed by the angel Gabriel to conceal them from human understanding.  Jewish tradition tells us that Yonathan ben Uziel, most brilliant of Hillels disciples, revealed the mysteries of the prophets in what we know as the Targums, but when he desired to reveal the secrets of the Writings, a heavenly voiced forbid it, because the secret of the End is contained there.

A kietz or end is a point in time where the culmination of God’s plan is brought about leading to a redemption or to the final redemption.  Due to the numerous well-meaning and some not so well meaning scholars who have tried to interpret the exact time when the Messiah was to be revealed,  and the numerous disappointments and tragedies that resulted from these incorrect datings, the sages hoping to discourage anyone from trying to determine the date, pronounced a curse upon those who would try. One only need look at the messianic aspirations of the Great Revolt which spawned numerous messianic pretenders and resulted in the deaths of over one million Jews.

Nevertheless, some very prominent rabbi’s have made calculations of the Kietz – R’ Saadia Gaon, Rambam and Ramban.  These however are noteworthy in that these calculations were allowed in Jewish communities that were under going intense persecution and forced conversions – such as the Jews of Yemen who were beset by a government who demanded conversion to Islam who sought advice from Rabbi Moshe Maimon.  The Jews of Catholic Spain were also under duress to convert.

In these cases, these Jewish communities were in dire need of hope and encouragement and the study of the End was particularly uplifing because it foretold of the demise of Israel’s enemies and the re-establishment of the Davidic Kingdom.  In fact one of the prominent features of the Apocalyptic genre, of which the Book of Daniel is archetypical, was to give comfort to a persecuted people.
Daniels visions are part of the apocalyptic tradition and in reality its foundational document. During his days, the Jewish people needed encouragement that God had not abandoned them and that he was working on thier behalf to bring about thier redemption.

In the realm of the Final Redemption, two possibilities exist. One, that the guelah (redemption) will occur through Israel’s meritorious deeds.  And two, that the guelah will come at ‘its appointed time’ if Israels does not merit it by good deeds.

It should be understood that the sages cautioned that no man knows the time of the End.  The End is hidden.  But  within Daniel lies the knowledge to know how to recognize the signs that indicate when the Kietz – The End of Days is drawing near.  It is these signs that we will look at to help us determine if indeed we are in the time of the End.

Our Messianic Hope

In the last few days I have been on edge. I can only think that it’s symptomatic of the times we live in. Many of us are keenly aware of the desperate time we live in and no doubt that has taken a number of years of our lives. Ever since the 2008 election of Obama I have sensed a heavy darkness descend upon America. In recent days my irritability has been greatly increased, no doubt from the continual assault upon our minds and emotions. I myself know that Barack Obama is an imposter, a Manchurian Candidate under the absolute control of the Illuminati Network or Babylonian Brotherhood.

The book of Daniel clearly tells us that todays events were  foretold long ago:

Jerusalem of Gold“Understand O son of man; for the vision belongs to the time of the end…Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.”

Hashem even told Daniel that understanding the visions would only belong to those who lived in the Last Days:

“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” (Dan 12:9).

Until the appointed time, only HaShem could know what was going to unfold during the end. There have been many who have had to re-assess their understanding of the Last Days simply because the facts on the ground have changed.  But many still cling to their antiquated theologies and therefore cannot recognize the brazen-faced contemptible king who would arise during the final conflict.

The Time of the End began in 1967 when Jerusalem was re-captured by the Israeli Defense Forces thus terminating Gentile control of Jerusalem. In 1948 CE, the new nation of Israel was established and in 1967, Jerusalem again came under Jewish control for the first time in 2573 years.

Daniel prophesies were sealed until the Time of the End.

DURING the last two thousand years, many schools of prophetic thought have been proposed, but the Jews returning to the Holy Land in 1948, and Jerusalem being freed of Gentile domination in 1967, open the door to a new understanding of the prophetic Scriptures that was hidden from the Church throughout the Christian Era. Since Daniel wasn.t opened until the end-times, every one of those earlier views are at best, questionable.

The Book of Daniel says an wicked leader will arise from a fourth empire that is different from all kingdoms. In chapter eight  Gabriel informs Daniel that the power of this brazen -faced king would be mighty but not by his own power. The power that is his to use comes from a small group of people, spoken of in chapter 11. It is well documented that Obama wasObama the Wild Donkey-Man Lackey

groomed by the Power Elite for the time when he could ascend to power. This was accomplished by a very powerful and well financed group of movers and shakers whom we know as the Illuminati among other names.

In chapter seven the end time despot is noted for changing laws and times. Obama has certainly brought about many laws which are detrimental to America and even toward Israel. His preference toward Arab and Muslim nations who desire Israel’s destruction is well known even among his allies. The times have drastically changed since 2008 – Arab Spring, Sociaslism being rammed down our throats.

Social chaos is the GOAL for the revolutionary. The crisis of crime and disorder is the door for the agent of change to enter the community and to initiate the paradigm shift. This is actually a distinguishing sign of the evil leader spoken of in Daniel: “…and he shall think to change the seasons and the law…”

The passage refers to seasons and law. In Hebrew the words seasons and law are tzman and dat. Tzman can refer to an appointed time such as religious observances or even the times in which we live.  In October of 2008, just days away from the election , Senator Obama said “We are Days Away From Fundamentally Transforming The United States of America”

I personally believe he is purposely instigating events and changes in our country to bring about a race/culture war which will destabilize American society and give him reason to crack down upon the population and further sever our rights. Race relations are at an all-time low and will not improve while he is in power. This is all part of the Illuminati Agenda.

Dat (law) is the Hebrew word for law or decree. It particularly refers to ‘royal decree’. Obama’s attempt to change the law is two-fold.  First, he must negate the US Constitution, to take the rights of the American people, particularly the rights of free speech and religious expression. America’s royal law is our constitution; a document that Obama circumvents regularly and believes is antiquated and should be shelved. This single document created the framework for the greatest nation in history and is responsible for more than 224 years of liberty and prosperity yet many on the left see it as an obstacle for their version of a new world order.

Obama since his election has done more to damage the constitution than his predecessors. His background as a constitutional law teacher and lawyer has helped him to begin to unravel our constitutional republic. There are many instances where he simply ignores what the constitution allows. His illegal war against Libya is a good example. Unlike his predecessors who sought (and received) Congressional approval for the ill-conceived wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Obama brazenly sent American forces into combat without seeking Congressional approval or consultation.

Returning to Daniel 8 we note that “thru his cunning he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand.” Craft is referring to deception and treachery. Obama’s deception is legendary. Barack Obama enjoys high approval ratings after four years of failed policies, 46 million Americans subsisting on food stamps and another 15 million unemployed. My 1957 JPS Tanakh translates it as ‘some who understands stratagems.’ Obama is a master strategist, which any political analyst would agree. Everything he does is carefully thought out. Even when it appears that he is out of political capital, he always seems to land on his feet.

One important detail in the characteristics of the last tyrant is that HaShem has ordained that he will be successful at whatever he sets his hand to. “He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does….He will cause deceit to prosper, and consider himself superior.”  No amount of struggle against him will succeed in uprooting him from power. According to Daniel this leader will be unstoppable. Men nor governments will be able to stop him. This is due to God’s own will.  This man will set out on a plan to destroy Israel:

“…he will exhaust the holy ones…who will be given into his hand until a time, and times, and half a time.” (7:25)

This does not mean we should stand idly by and do nothing. On the contrary the Book of Daniel tells us that

“…they who are wise among the people shall cause the many to understand; yet they shall stumble by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall stumble, they shall be helped with a little help; but many shall join themselves unto them by treachery. And some of them that are wise shall stumble to refine among them, and to purify, and to make white, even to the time of the End, for it is yet for the time appointed.”

As in the days of the Maccabee Uprising, the sages alive at the kietz and those with understanding will bring many people to the truth of the Torah.  But the cost to them will often be their lives. But a time will come when the Contemptible One is destroyed by God.

“Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.”

At the appointed time, at the kietz, this wicked leader will be judged by HaShem and he and his kingdom will com to an abrupt end.  This is foretold both in Daniel chapter two when the Exile Kingdom of Iron and Clay is crushed by the Kingdom of God, described as a stone cut from a mountain.

The Midrash Milkhamot HaMashiach, a rabbinic text, states that this End of Days evil ruler is the one whom the Christians call the Anti-Christ. In Jewish sources he is called Armelius and is the leader of Edom, the king of Romi (Rome/Europe/US).

Jewish writings speak of this evil ruler as:

1. A man unsuitable to rule will be brought into power in the Last Days.

2. His ego will know no bounds.

3. People will be taken in by his charisma and power of speech.

4. He will claim to be a Christian, but is not.

5. He will the representative of an evil world body which will claim to represent the true Messiah (Illuminati).

Obama, as we and others have demonstrated is not fit to lead. Many Americans feel he is an imposter, which he is, and that he is not the legitimate leader of America – we have not conferred the honor of kingship upon him because he is a fraud, who perpetrated a complex deception upon the American public with the help of a small group of people as required by prophecy. (In the recent 2012 election, there is a lot of evidence that he stole the election through massive voter fraud).

The Daniel passage quite possibly is referring this fact – An unqualified sitting president who was not properly vetted nor re-elected.  The Jewish sages believe this phrase means he is not the legitimate ruler. The fact that there are numerous instances of voter fraud in critical precincts during the 2012 election goes a long way in supporting this. The Media abandoned it’s responsibility to vet Barak Obama in 2008 and our elected officials turned a blind eye or were complicit. Either way, they are criminals and one day will pay for their high crimes against the people of this country. ( If they are judged by the true Messiah, gentile nations are judged by Noachide Law. Unlike Judaism, Noachide Law has only one penalty for crime – death).

Establishing the Kietz

Both Jewish and Christian scholars cite 1967 as the beginning of the last days. Christians called the fulfillment of the times of the gentiles, when Jerusalem would be under the control of Israel once again. Since that time there has been a tremendous up swing in prophetic alignments and growing hatred of Israel. Far more interesting is a 750 year old prophecy about this important juncture.

Judah Ben Samuel was a  prolific German rabbi of the 12th century who made some astonishing and specific predictions about the future of Jerusalem and Israel that came true.  JudahthumbnailCAEGEZW3 Ben Samuel, also known as Judah ha-Hasid (Judah the Pious), lived and worked from the end of the 12th century until the beginning of the 13th century in Regensburg, authoring a number of books in the German language. Ludwig Schneider of Israel Today magazine has translated some of his work into English over the last few years, including “The Book of the Pious – Sefer Hasidim” and the “Book of Calculations – Sefer Gematriyot.” His identification of the beginning of messianic times corresponds to 1967 as we shall show.

Judah Ben Samuel published the results of his  calculations (Gematria) and astrological observations and summarized as follows: “When the Ottomans  conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees. Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee, and then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time.”

One jubilee is 50 years according to Leviticus 25. It is the 50th year after seven times seven years, the year in which each person should regain ownership of his or her land.  Samuel’s calculations were purely theoretical; there was absolutely no sign at that time of their being fulfilled. He himself was not able to experience their fulfillment, for it was only 300 years after his death that the first of his predictions were to come true.

The Mamluks, who had been reigning in Jerusalem since 1250, were conquered in 1517 by the Ottoman Turks. They remained for eight jubilees (8 x 50 = 400 years), that is to say they were in Jerusalem for 400 years. Exactly 400 years later, in 1917, the Ottoman Turks were conquered by the British. The League of Nations conferred the Mandate for the Holy Land and Jerusalem to the British. Thus, from 1917, under international law, Jerusalem was no-man’s land.

Then, when Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six Day War of 1967, exactly one jubilee (50 years) after 1917, Jerusalem reverted to Jewish-Israeli ownership once again. Thereby, according to the prophecies of Judah Ben Samuel, the Messianic End Times began.

Many scholars have studied and made reference to Judah Ben Samuel’s writings in an effort to understand how he reached his conclusions. Among those referencing Ben Samuel were Rabbi Isaac Ben Solomon Luria, a mystic dealing with the messianic world (Jerusalem, 1531-1572, Safed); Joseph Solomon Delmegido (1591 Candia – 1655 Prague), a mathematician and astronomer (“Mazref le-Chochma”), Azulai I (1724-1806), a famed bibliographer; Samuel David Luzzatto (1800-1865), a Bible scholar; historian Heinrich Graetz (1817-1891); and Torah scholar Jacob Epstein (1925-1993).

The secret of how Judah the Pious arrived at such accurate predictions has less to do with the actual calculations than it does with the fact that he had consecrated his life to God. His pupils Rabbi Isaac ben Moses (Vienna), Rabbi Baruch ben Samuel (Mainz) and Rabbi Simcha (Speyer) testify that Ben Samuel was a model of abstinence and selflessness and was awaiting with a burning desire the coming of the Messiah.

Ben Samuel was often called “Light of Israel.” Even bishops came to him for advice. If anyone asked him where his wisdom came from he would answer, “The prophet Elijah, who will precede the Messiah, appeared to me and revealed many things to me and emphasized that the precondition for answered prayer is that it is fueled by enthusiasm and joy for the greatness and holiness of God.”

But to recap the astonishing predictions: In AD 1217 this scholarly and pious rabbi prophesied that the Ottoman Turks would rule over the holy city of Jerusalem for eight Jubilees. Now, keep in mind, he made this prediction 300 years before the Ottoman Turks seized control of Jerusalem in 1517. If indeed 1217 and 1517 were jubilee years as Judah Ben Samuel believed, then his prophecy was exactly right, because exactly 400 years after the Turks took control of Jerusalem they were driven out of the city and the holy land in 1917 by the Allied forces under the command of General George Allenby – on Hanukkah, by the way.

The rabbi also prophesied that during the ninth Jubilee Jerusalem would be a “no-man’s land.” This is exactly what happened from 1917 to 1967, due to the fact that the Holy Land was placed under British Mandate in 1917 by the League of Nations and literally “belonged” to no nation.

Even after Israel’s war of independence in 1948-49, Jerusalem was still divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city, with Jordan controlling the eastern part of the city and Israel controlling the western part of the city. That strip of land was considered and even called “no-man’s land” by both the Israelis and the Jordanians.

It was not until the Six Day War in 1967 when the entire West Bank of the Holy Land was conquered by the Israeli army that the whole city of Jerusalem passed back into the possession of Israel. So once again the prophecy made by the rabbi 750 years previously was fulfilled to the letter.

It certainly would be significant if both 1917 and 1967 were Jubilee years, considering the significance of what happened in Jerusalem on those years. But it gets even more interesting, because Judah Ben Samuel also prophesied that during the 10th Jubilee Jerusalem would be under the control of the Jews and the Messianic “end times” would begin. If he’s right, the 10th Jubilee began in 1967 and will be concluded in 2017.

In light of these prophesies and the coming future events, my anxiety has been lessened by the hope of an earth bereft of a untouchable elite class and their masters who have brought untold suffering upon humanity for some number of millenia. Hopefully one day we may know exactly why. But until that time all of us should continue fighting against their rule, encourage one another and pray for  God’s guidance.
